I’m just getting started with Hot Plate and I’ve gotten three SMS subscribers so far but I have no idea what their names or phone numbers are. As a micro baker for my local community I would really appreciate knowing who I am baking for in order to build a deeper connection with my customers.

I’m new to the platform, and I’m concerned that people can subscribe to a page without providing names. For safety reasons, it would be helpful if first and last name are required.

I have mixed feelings about this. I too really want a name to go with the number. But I also know that might keep some people from signing up. It’s a numbers game. The more people I reach, the more options to make a sale. And, at that point, they have to include a name.

I agree, and we need to have the ability to add contacts as well. Many of my customers are seniors and have trouble subscribing. A simple fix would be to allow us to get SMS permission and add clients ourselves. I am thinking that feature could be added with very little backend work. Please, please!
