Disable Cart “Countdown”

A few customers have said they don’t like the cart timer while they are shopping. I would like for them to be notified their cart is going to clear after X minutes, but the countdown is “stressful” and they’d like more time. I tried to find whether it’s possible to turn this off but couldn’t find it. Thanks!

Please make it so the checkout timer is optional. I feel pressure and anxiety to finish when there is a timer at the bottom. I would hate for my customers to feel that way.

You can increase your cart countdown to up to 60 minutes, but Hotplate is always going to display that to the user – otherwise they will get caught offguard by their cart expiring.
Cart reservations are integral to Hotplate,, as once a customer adds inventory to thier cart, no one else can claim it until they remove the items, or their cart expires.
Hope this makes sense to people!

Ben Klenk except this shouldnt apply when we dont have an inventory count. For example we leave inventory as unlimited. So the countdown literally serves no purpose except to rush the customer. Give us the option to turn the timer on or off so we can leave unlimited time for the customer to finish their order.

Same. I’ve had customers tell me it’s not enough time. I didn’t even realize there was a timer on their cart!
