Feature requests

In the old portal there was an option to mark items as unlimited, which worked really well for products that don’t need a fixed quantity. With the new update, inventory is automatically set to 10, and the system now requires entering a number with no unlimited option. This creates unnecessary extra work and can cause items to sell out even when they are still available. For bakers and small businesses using hotplate, the ability to mark items as unlimited was very helpful for managing menus more efficiently. I had to go back to the old portal (which will automatically change on April 6th) to fix this issue. It would be great if the unlimited inventory option could be added back. Please Please Please 💜

The "Orders" page is horrible set up, including the printable prep order list. This page needs to be organized by each customer order not categorized by the products. Especially because this page does not show what quantity was ordered, there is no way to get actual inventory, or what to prep for each order without actually going into their customer profiling and getting the receipt for that order event.

I would love to be able to text everyone who ordered for a specific date range. Sometimes I would like to let everyone know something and I can only text my whole list or each order individually. For example, for my current drop everything is par baked and frozen so I would like to let my customers know that instead of their order being out on my pickup stand, it will be in the freezer, so please knock when they come to pickup.

A few customers have said they don’t like the cart timer while they are shopping. I would like for them to be notified their cart is going to clear after X minutes, but the countdown is “stressful” and they’d like more time. I tried to find whether it’s possible to turn this off but couldn’t find it. Thanks!

Current we have to enter the customer phone number, which requires me to go back to past order receipts to find that info. It adds a lot of time. Would love if that info could be pulled up by entering their first or last name for manually added orders.

When manually adding an order it would be great if you could look up by name not just phone number?

Would like to be able to manually add an order if someone does not go through link.

I have a handful of customers that still just message me to order. I would like them to also receive the same text reminders that my customers who order directly from my storefront gets. The confirmation text, pickup text, marketing texts, etc. The people who I have entered manually say they are not receiving those... Thanks!

It would be great to be able to add our logo/branding when sharing the Hotplate link digitally. Currently when you copy it and share it via text or social media it says the HOTPLATE logo and so this would help the feel of customization.

It would be a great feature to add to be able to make a note on someone's order. If someone were to reach out to me with a request or wanted to switch to pickup/delivery or reached out about their pickup time. It would be nice to add a note to the order to keep track of that information there instead of trying to keep track of who reached out.
